How it works
From client link to structured brief
ReqBrief replaces the intake form and the kickoff archaeology with a short, AI-led interview — and writes the brief for you at the end.
The four steps
- 1
Create a project
Give the project a name and type, add any context or files you already have, and (optionally) attach the client it belongs to so past context carries over.
- 2
Send your client a link
ReqBrief generates a private interview link. Your client opens it in any browser — no account, no install — and answers in their own time.
- 3
The AI runs the interview
One question at a time, the AI asks about goals, audience, constraints, success criteria, timeline and budget — following up automatically whenever an answer is vague.
- 4
You get a structured brief
When the interview wraps, ReqBrief generates a clean, structured project brief you can scope, quote, and share — and you are notified by email when it is ready.
What makes the brief good
Adaptive questioning
The interview reacts to each answer and probes anything unclear — not a fixed form.
One question at a time
Clients face a conversation, not a wall of fields, so they actually finish it.
Shared client context
Repeat work for the same client asks fewer questions because background carries over.
Speaks your client’s language
Interviews and briefs adapt to the language you work in.
Files for extra context
Attach PDFs or images and the relevant detail feeds into the interview.
Briefs you can take anywhere
Download the brief as Markdown or paste it into your existing tools.
Common questions
How long does the interview take a client?
Most clients finish in around 10–15 minutes. Because questions come one at a time and adapt to answers, it feels lighter than a long form even though it captures more.
Do clients need to sign up or install anything?
No. They open a link and answer in their browser on any device. There is nothing to download and no account to create.
Can I review or edit the brief?
Yes. The generated brief is yours to review, download as Markdown, and adapt before you share it or scope from it.
What kinds of projects does it work for?
Websites, campaigns, software builds and more — the interview adapts to the project type and context you set, so it asks about what matters for that work.
